Two Kansas Community Health Centers Select eClinicalWorks
Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas and Health Partnership Clinic are Utilizing Comprehensive Electronic Health Records Solution and Revenue Cycle Management
WESTBOROUGH, Mass.—September 22, 2014—eClinicalWorks®, a leader in ambulatory healthcare IT solutions, today announced that the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas (CHCSEK) and Health Partnership Clinic (HPC) have both selected eClinicalWorks comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) solution for use across their combined 12 clinic locations. The sister Federally Qualified Health Centers will also utilize eClinicalWorks Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) for streamlining office processes as well as increasing financial and administrative performance.
“Health Partnership Clinic serves a population that may not otherwise have access to quality care,” said Jason Wesco, president and CEO of Health Partnership Clinic. “Our organization is growing quickly and we want to focus on what we do best, which is delivering care. eClinicalWorks will aid the revenue cycle of our practice in addition to delivering the tools needed to manage medical, dental and behavioral care in an integrated manner. ”
“Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas assists its patients with all aspects of their care,” said Krista Postai, CEO of Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas. “We searched for a partner that understood the unique requirements of Federally Qualified Health Centers and could enhance our organization. eClinicalWorks provides the care coordination needed to aid us in further improving care delivery.”
eClinicalWorks currently works with nearly 700 community health centers across the country, with four of these centers being recipients of the HIMSS Nicholas E. Davies Award of Excellence Program. By deploying eClinicalWorks EHR solution in a Cloud environment, CHCSEK and HPC will streamline processes between practices and provide high-reliability and accessibility of the EHR solution. It will also facilitate continuity of care across multiple settings, allowing critical information to be accessible at the point of care.
eClinicalWorks RCM services will aid CHCSEK and HPC in optimizing billing. This service is available for 2.9% of monthly collected revenue and also includes the complete EHR suite by eClinicalWorks, on-site training as well as 24/7 customer service. Automated claims scrubbing tools within eClinicalWorks produce an independently-verified 98% average first-pass acceptance rate, resulting in more claims being accepted by the insurance payer without rework.
“eClinicalWorks works with a significant percentage of community health centers that benefit from the comprehensive nature of our EHR,” said Girish Navani, CEO and co-founder of eClinicalWorks. “With our Revenue Cycle Management services, we are able to assist healthcare organizations in realizing more revenues faster. Combining both will aid Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas and Health Partnership Clinic in delivering collaborative care based on real-time information regarding multiple facets of care.”
