Michigan’s Portage Health Selects eClinicalWorks for Ambulatory Electronic Health Records
Hospital Using Unified EMR/PM System and Enterprise Business Optimizer to Improve Workflow and Connectivity
Westborough, Mass.—November 30, 2009—eClinicalWorks®, a market leader in ambulatory clinical systems, today announced that Portage Health, serving much of Michigan, has selected eClinicalWorks unified electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management (PM) solution for its employed physicians. This multi-specialty hospital will integrate the EMR with its in-patient system by Meditech and also utilize eClinicalWorks Enterprise Business Optimizer (eBO) enhanced reporting capabilities.

Portage Health has also chosen to implement eBO, which uses meta-data to give the practice more flexibility through the creation of customized reports and by performing clinical and financial analysis. Tablet computers have been purchased to run the software, making it more comfortable for the providers to incorporate the technology into their practice.
