Medicare Shared Savings Program Accountable Care Organization Using eClinicalWorks Care Coordination Medical Records Solution for Coordinating Care
WESTBOROUGH, Mass.—June 17, 2013—eClinicalWorks®, a leader in ambulatory healthcare IT solutions, today announced that Nature Coast ACO, a Medicare Shared Savings Program Accountable Care Organization (ACO), is expanding its relationship with the company to include eClinicalWorks Care Coordination Medical Record™ (CCMR), coordinating care across the continuum as well as evaluating population health and quality improvement activities.

The organization currently uses the eClinicalWorks comprehensive electronic health records (EHR) solution. According to a May 2013 survey released today, 95% of organizations with or considering an ACO or PCMH believe that integration with the EHR system is important to create quality outcomes for patients, 82% rating this as “very important.” Additional features noted in the survey as important for creating quality outcomes include physician alerts for high-risk patients within the EHR as well as care-planning and coordination tools.
