eClinicalWorks Open Interoperability Will Enhance Exchange of Health Data Across Networks
Dallas, TX. —eClinicalWorks National Conference, October 6, 2017—eClinicalWorks®, a leader in healthcare IT solutions, today announces the advancement of interoperability with the eClinicalWorks Open Interoperability (EOI) development platform. This introduction furthers eClinicalWorks’ foray into improving access to health data, following the recent announcement of the exchange of more than two million documents over a 12-month period through Carequality Interoperability Framework. EOI allows third-party developers to build patient- facing healthcare applications that can operate within one of the largest networks of ambulatory physicians and patients. EOI uses FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources), an established and widely accepted HL7 industry standard for the data exchange.
Application developers use a self-service portal to register an account with the EOI platform. The account registration, once reviewed and approved, allows the developers to instantly connect to healthcare organizations and practices that have enabled API access through the eClinicalWorks EHR. The EOI platform will be available to developers December, 2017.
