eClinicalWorks can support uni- and bi-directional communication with any laboratory vendor or LIS system capable of supporting HL7 messaging. The incoming results interface will support both solicited and unsolicited results to attach automatically to the patient’s record.

Diagnostic Imaging/PACS

eClinicalWorks can support uni- and bi-directional communication with any radiology vendor or RIS system capable of supporting HL7 messaging. The incoming results interface will support both solicited and unsolicited results to attach automatically to the patient’s record. eClinicalWorks can also support a PACS URL link in the HL7 result message to launch a viewer containing the image.

Departmental Reports

Providers need to document notes on patients for a variety of reasons in a wide range of external systems. eClinicalWorks can import patient reports into the Patient Documents section electronically and automatically utilizing HL7 messaging. We can also support an embedded PDF report within the HL7 message.

ePrescriptions, Rx Eligibility and EPCS

eClinicalWorks has built-in functionality for e-Prescribing, allowing a provider to electronically send accurate, error-free and understandable prescriptions directly to a pharmacy from the point of care. eClinicalWorks supports patient Rx eligibility, external Rx history and patient-specific formulary checking via Surescripts.

 

Additionally, eClinicalWorks is able to support Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS) directly from the same EMR treatment window by utilizing a “hard token” password generator.

Pharmacy Integrations

eClinicalWorks supports new and refill response messages with any pharmacy system capable of supporting NCPDP 10.6 XML or NCPDP 10.6 HL7 based messaging. We can support IP/Port or https communication.

Transcription Services

For providers utilizing external transcription services, eClinicalWorks can accept this data inbound into the system to attach to the patient. Transcription can be accepted as a document and attached to the patient record.
