WESTBOROUGH, MA.—February 22, 2023— eClinicalWorks®, the largest ambulatory cloud EHR, today announced that Healing Hands Ministries (HHM) is leveraging PRISMA, the industry’s first health information search tool. A Texas community health center, HHM originally selected eClinicalWorks and healow to help the practice provide comprehensive care, improve efficiency, and shorten patient wait times. HHM is using PRISMA to collate medical information from specialties, urgent care facilities, hospitals, and primary care providers, to enable faster and more accurate decision-making and care for its diverse patient population at the point of care.

With more than 57,200 patient visits as of December 2022, HHM uses PRISMA to give providers intelligent, efficient, and user-friendly search capabilities within the patient record for value-based care and continuity of care. Since one of the HHM clinics is in a refugee resettlement location, HHM serves patients that speak approximately 68 different languages. With PRISMA, providers were able to overcome a language barrier with a patient by retrieving their hospital records and providing immediate and life-saving care. By collating information into a readable, searchable table or grid view, providers can coordinate care quickly and make better data-driven clinical decisions. From the dental module and behavioral health module, HHM is identifying gaps in care and filling them in with eClinicalWorks’ broad suite of solutions.
